Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the viability in the evaluation of investment projects, using a financial projection simulation strategy, in which quantitative primary data is incorporated to go through the evaluation process and to be able to extract financial indicators for decision making and to be able to issue an opinion, which is used to obtain a loan; This research was applied to students of the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM), specifically at the Technological Institute of Los Mochis (ITLM), in Los Mochis, Sinaloa in the subject of Formulation and Evaluation of Investment Projects of the Bachelor's Degree in Administration.

For this purpose, it is important to provide feedback that currently any company that requires using a banking or non-banking source of financing requires an investment project; hence the importance of this topic, due to its relevance and timeliness; lending institutions require formality and presentation of said project so that obtaining a loan is feasible, combined with the innovative or important nature of the business idea; This is a highly positive combination, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in obtaining a source of financing for their business. Companies may be in the growth stage or in the maturity stage, as the case may be, but the needs will be the same: they require cash flow to meet a specific need and this can only be possible by obtaining a bank loan or a government institution, such as the Shared Risk Trust (FIRCO), the Trust Institution in Relation to Agriculture (FIRA), the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA), among others. These institutions provide guidance in their various programs to these companies in the process of consolidation or growth, but require that in order for their participation to be taken into account, they prepare and evaluate an investment project to determine its viability.
