Abstract

This work develops the idea of ​​consolidating a democratic transformation in Mexico from several interesting perspectives, among which initially stands out a new conception of the idea of ​​democracy, abandoning the idea of ​​conceptualizing it as a form of government to place it, after a necessary social maturity, as a civic virtue inherent to a new type of citizen. In the same way, it analyzes the most adequate way to attempt this transformation, addressing the social aspect from the conception of State Reform and adding the legal perspective that is based on constitutional precepts as a basis to denote any process of change in the social structure. Elements linked to these processes are also addressed, among which the current functioning of political parties, the way in which power is exercised, authoritarianism, the economic factors that affect society and the indifference of politics towards addressing the needs of the population stand out.
