Abstract

In response to the invitation to participate in the First International Seminar on Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding, we decided to research and write about “The mission of a philosophical discourse in the construction of peace” because we consider that it is more important to discuss the social phenomenon of peace than to continue to be deeply concerned with analyzing violence in all its manifestations; and, although they often coexist in our daily work, it seems that violence predominates over peace. In our case, we have preferred to opt for the analysis and adherence to the proposal of a systemic-complex Epistemology to build peace by Alfonso Fernández Herrería and María del Carmen López López, accompanied by an anthropic thought by Tomaso Bugossi typified by its metaphysical ontological, epistemological and axiological foundation as applicable to Education for Peace or Education in values. Hence, the following points are analyzed in this article: an integral concept of the human being as a subject-person, the distinction between Philosophy and philosophies, a philosophical discourse, the mission of a philosophical discourse, and the construction of peace.
