Abstract

Among the indigenous peoples of the southwestern Andes of Colombia, there are concepts of authority, power and justice that structure, at the same time, a particular sense of community and of the solution of internal conflicts. The object of this reflection is to analyze these concepts and meanings and some of their transformations and tensions, generated by the rights won, enshrined in the 1991 political constitution, its application, the requirements of the State and other current political phenomena.
