Abstract

A methodology for the quantification of trimethylsilyldiazomethane-derivatized clofibric acid in water samples was developed and validated by gas chromatography coupled to a mass selective detector (GC-MS). The method was validated in different parameters such as linearity, accuracy, precision, detection and quantification limits. The validation concentrations are in the range of 0.0025 to 0.1644 μgL-1. The detection and quantification limits obtained are 0.0003 and 0.0053 μgL-1.
