The cultivation of tilapia in our country has shown in recent years a boom and important diversification, this due to the food deficit both in our country and in the rest of the world, there are some alternatives to increase the profitability of its cultivation being also an important activity in the State of Sinaloa, mainly in the communities adjacent to the dams and water reservoirs. In the present investigation the results obtained in the process of sexual reversal of red tilapia fingerlings Oreochromis sp., carried out in the facilities of CIIDIR-IPN, Guasave Sinaloa, are presented. In the experiment a total population of 4000 organisms was used, which were distributed in three ponds, hormonal treatment by its integration in the feed (ATB) and three controls (C), the ponds were made of concrete with a capacity of 500 L. of water, the hormone was applied to the feed, to be supplied orally. The percentage of sex change was determined by the "Squash" technique. In the treatment of hormonal feed supply. The physicochemical parameters did not present significant differences because they are within the limits allowed in tilapia culture. The survival rate in the hormone supply treatment was 89.6±2.5% and the control 78.0±3.2. The final weight (g) in the hormone application treatment was 0.52±0.02 g and in the control it was 0.50±0.04 g. In the percentage of sexual reversal the hormone treatment (ATB) was 89.7±3.0%, in the control (C) it was 57.0±2.3%. This allowed us to know that the use of the hormone in the feed is effective.
