System for evaluating research objectives in the social field

Abstract

In social research projects, the objective is a fundamental aspect, since it is responsible for presenting the expected final result. Due to this, online course management systems facilitate the teacher's task when providing material to students; however, it is possible to improve these systems with the inclusion of online analysis systems. In this article, we propose the use of a tool that integrates the analysis of a research objective stated in natural language into the structure of the online course management system MOODLE. We establish a dictionary of verbs, articles and tools for the grammatical analysis of the objective with the implementation of a finite automaton. With this information, the student is presented with immediate feedback on his objective. Finally, we carry out an experiment with final works of students in the last semester.
