Abstract

The book begins with a prologue written by Professor Catalina Inclán Espinosa, Researcher at the IISUE of UNAM, who develops two main themes: Research, conditions and possibilities, and Teaching, vulnerability and strength. The first theme highlights that doing research, training in research and maintaining a space for research cannot happen only due to institutional pressure or the will of those involved, it demands a permanent, collective and far-reaching effort. Researching, teaching how to do it and producing knowledge requires training, information, time, systematization of findings and dissemination of results. The second theme highlights that educational research in teacher training instances is a topic that has been minimized in recent debates and that requires its visualization in normal school communities and in all areas of educational work.
