Abstract

The Master's Degree in Educational Sciences has given teachers the opportunity to raise their level of scientific preparation and the development of professional skills, based on the execution of research that seeks solutions to problems in their educational practice. Specifically, the Special Education Mention shows evident transformations in the performance of teachers, as well as in the functioning of school institutions. This research focuses on the proposal of a Professional Development Strategy that integrates in a coordinated manner the actions developed by the multiplicity of factors participating in this process (Academic Committee, deputy directors of pedagogical branches, Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Department of Special Education, Provincial Directorate of Education) to favor the organization of the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences. The results obtained are materialized in the 347 teachers who hold the academic title of Master in Educational Sciences, the 57 who have assumed the role of tutors from the territories, the 21 teachers from the University of Pedagogical Sciences who have increased their experience as tutors, opponents and tribunals, as well as in the elevation of the scientific and methodological preparation that the graduates have to lead the processes that are developed in the current Cuban school.
