Educational management as a quality factor in an intercultural university

Abstract

Education is taken by international organizations as a variable to measure the economic development of a country, where through its research function, cooperative activities and its alliance with the social sectors, higher education is called to make a contribution to new paths for a better future for society. In this context, educational management is analyzed as one of the main problems that the Autonomous Indigenous University of Mexico (UAIM) faces in order to reach the levels of educational quality standards required by the Undersecretary of Higher Education. Through this article, educational management is reflected in its four dimensions: pedagogical, organizational, community and administrative; as well as the articulation of these to improve the functioning of the institution.

The methodology used has a descriptive approach that we consider the most appropriate to analyze the significant aspects of educational management. To do so, a questionnaire was applied to 25 UIAM workers, obtaining that the results show that 75% have perceived the benefits that educational management has within the daily activities of the institution.
