Abstract

As a result of the experiences we have had at the Teachers' Updating Center and in the postgraduate tutoring programs in the State of Durango, we have been able to detect strengths and weaknesses, which allows us to make a diagnosis in order to reduce them and develop strengths. The biggest problem that humanity has is educating its members, and as society enters the 21st century, it demands changes and improvements to educational systems. The need to teach and learn for the continued existence of society is evident. Higher Education Institutions must strive to achieve development in man. Tutoring in higher education is a complementary action that allows the development of ethical behavior, intellectual skills, and didactic competencies. The study is predominantly qualitative and the method is case study.
