Abstract

If students of forestry sciences from the different academic degrees awarded in the country are asked about their opinion on the Philosophy of forestry sciences, they generally tend to give a view that only highlights partial aspects of it related to Ethics but very rarely to Science. This marked dissociation between Science and Philosophy continues to be maintained, and, furthermore, it hardly changes during postgraduate studies. When the interrelations between both disciplines are analyzed, students recognize with some ease how certain theories or scientific discoveries can influence some philosophical questions, but not the other way around.
