Abstract

The purpose of this work is to publicize and share the work that has been carried out at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) from the General Directorate of Academic Development and Educational Innovation, Subdirectorate of Educational Innovation and Head of Institutional Tutoring, regarding the tutorial practice and the main actors involved in this process, based on an axis of attention to the diversity and inclusion of students and their different problems, which implies the innovation of strategies and tools in which the objective of integral training, autonomy and continuous improvement of the support to students during their academic trajectory prevails. Through the implementation of the Comprehensive Tutoring and Academic Pathways Program (PITTA), tutoring tools that promote sustainability and inclusion have been employed. These include the comprehensive tutoring and advising system, the tutoring and advising registration system, and the mobile tutoring module. These tools have allowed for the centralization of the support and follow-up history for each student who has been tutored across the various institutes and multidisciplinary divisions of the UACJ. This has added value to the institution by incorporating cutting-edge technology into tutoring practices, benefiting faculty, students, and administrative staff through improved service.
