Abstract

Quality of life is a term that has been used more profusely in recent years, it is a social concept in permanent change. The Cuban school professional constitutes one of the fundamental links that contribute to the quality of the educational system. They are faced with the challenge of providing guidance in order to achieve a favorable environment for coexistence in families and the community. To coexist is to share, and to advance on that path, participation must be encouraged. Only in a positive social climate do phenomena such as commitment, motivation and involvement with society arise and develop. With this research, the behavior of quality of life in family and community coexistence is identified in the context of the work performance of the graduate in Pedagogy-Psychology in the different education systems, and an approach and verification of the need to train teachers who guarantee guidance on the subject is analyzed. This work reflects on the study carried out on this issue and confirms that it is necessary to work in a cooperative manner to complement the investigations and analyses; to contribute without prejudice the accumulated research of our institutions and the proposals with theoretical and methodological reflections that change the logic of thought, especially in the quality of life in coexistence that can be addressed by systematizations and proposals that encourage family and community participation in promoting a climate of tolerance and acceptance of the other. Education and its professionals must guarantee the contribution of culture and education to sustainable development and the need to respect peace, non-violence, cultural diversity, local and traditional knowledge, wisdom, universal principles such as human rights, equality between men and women, democracy, justice, which leads to having quality of life.
