Ethics supervision policy
Editor’s Responsibilities
The editor-in-chief is directly responsible for the journal’s publication, including verifying, uploading, and printing submissions, as well as acting as a filter at various stages of the journal’s production; continuously improving the journal; proposing and ensuring deadlines for calls for submissions; guaranteeing the quality of published material; and promoting academic and scientific standards. Furthermore, the editor is responsible for publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies as needed.
It is the editor’s responsibility to guarantee confidentiality during the evaluation process in order to maintain the integrity of the double-blind peer review process.
The editor will also provide a general evaluation and make preliminary decisions regarding the acceptance of manuscripts under consideration, in addition to keeping authors informed about the stage of the editorial process their manuscript is in.
The editor is committed to always acting impartially and professionally in all aspects of their work, prioritizing the values of integrity, scientific rigor, human quality, and diversity. Neither the editor nor any member of the editorial team may disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, or other editorial advisors.
All authors retain ownership and responsibility for the material content of their articles.
Responsibilities of the Issue Coordinators
The issue coordinator(s) is/are determined by the Editorial Committee in ordinary session, based on their proposal for thematic call for papers. The issue coordinators are responsible for:
Receiving manuscripts
Making a second determination (after the Editor’s) regarding their thematic relevance
Assigning reviewers to each manuscript
Anonymizing and sending manuscripts to reviewers
Sending the reviews to the editor
Making final decisions regarding the order, theme, and final layout
Monitoring and approving the final layout of the article
Maintaining communication between authors, reviewers, and the editor, if necessary
Author Responsibilities
Before submitting their manuscript, authors must carefully read all the guidelines and the current call for papers, which contain the corresponding guidelines for consideration. They must also ensure that their work has not been previously published nor is it being considered simultaneously for any other publication.
It is strongly recommended to review the Submissions section before uploading the manuscript.
Authors will submit the article to the journal according to the aforementioned author guidelines. Fraudulent or deliberately inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
To ensure the quality of publications, the Ra Ximhai journal does not accept content generated by any Artificial Intelligence tool at any stage of the editorial process.
If permitted by the coordinators and the editor, it will be possible to submit an article with more than three authors, provided that their contribution has been substantial and is expressly detailed in the submission document, in a section entitled “Authors’ Contribution”, along with the curriculum vitae of each author.
Sources must be properly acknowledged. Authors must cite publications that have influenced the nature of the work presented.
The content of the article is the responsibility of each of the mentioned authors; therefore, prior to submission, it must be ensured that all authors have seen and approved the final version of the document. Otherwise, the article will be retracted and the corresponding sanctions will be applied. In the event of external funding, a conflict of interest, or if the research is part of a larger project, this must be openly disclosed in the submitted document. If the submitted manuscript does not include a declaration of conflict of interest or funding, it is assumed that no such conflict of interest exists and that the research was independently funded.
If an author discovers any error, inaccuracy, or irregularity in their published work, it is their direct responsibility to immediately notify the editor at raximhai@uaim.edu.mx for retraction and subsequent correction.
Under no circumstances should authors attempt to ascertain the identity of the reviewers.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers agree to report any unethical conduct by authors and to indicate all information that could be grounds for rejecting the publication of articles. Furthermore, they must commit to maintaining the confidentiality of all related information.
For the review of manuscripts, reviewers must have guidelines for performing this task. These guidelines must be provided by the journal and are what they must consider for their evaluation.
Every selected reviewer must notify the journal editors within the established timeframe whether they are qualified to review the manuscript or are unable to do so.
Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. It should not be shown or discussed with other experts, except with the editor's authorization.
Reviewers must conduct themselves objectively. Any personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers must express their views clearly and with valid arguments.
All privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain.
Under no circumstances may reviewers attempt to ascertain the identity of the authors.
Reviewers must not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
Declaration of Conflict of Interest
Conflicts of interest arise when authors, reviewers, or editors have undisclosed interests that could influence their judgment regarding what is to be published. These may be personal, academic, economic, political, or religious. When such interests are significant, they must be disclosed to the editors.
Only original, unpublished articles that are not under contract with any other publication, or translations of texts published in another language, will be published with the prior authorization of the copyright holder.
