Life project in secondary education from the analysis of teaching practice

Theory and practice are essential elements of any pedagogical task; understanding them is central to understanding the didactic processes teachers develop in the construction of a life plan with secondary school students. The objective of this work was to describe the theoretical and methodological aspects of educational practice aimed at building a life plan in a public secondary school through a case study of three teachers, a topic that has been little explored and can provide a new perspective on this resource. Through the questionnaire and interview, we found that teachers 1) lacked theoretical and methodological elements for addressing life plans. However, despite not having this frame of reference, other categories were obtained, since the information revealed that teachers had particular visions about what a life plan is: 2) an operational vision, 3) a humanistic vision, and 4) a systemic and social vision. The results show the multidimensionality of the life project and the need for teachers to have a methodology for addressing it.
